Raising Awareness: Stolen images

We were informed about a web site who started their business by advertising wedding items using stolen photos from our web site as well as other reputable wedding web sites. This is a growing problem.
- As a customer, don’t be misled by believing the products advertised is what you will receive from these companies. They will attempt to copy other designers work resulting in disappointments when you receive your order. Every reputable designer or company will advertise their logo on their work and photos. This is one of the most important aspect you should take into consideration before buying from a company. Through some research, the most common theft so far are photos of wedding centerpieces which can be copied from blogs, forums and wedding web sites. When you ask if they actually worked on the wedding in the photographs, in most cases the answer would be no.
- As a vendor or owner of the stolen images, report the web site to the BBB or call the ISP provider hosting the web site and inform them of the actions being committed.
